I’m experimenting—in life, in this newsletter. So this week, I thought I’d do a little roundup of things I’m loving and exploring lately. I used to do this weekly in my Sara…lately email (if you’re around from those days… hi!). Here’s a non-exhaustive list:
If Books Could Kill podcast—I’m not going to lie, I get a lot of satisfaction from listening to this podcast and watching them break down the BS from these books I see folks posting all over social media that always gave me the ick (cough, James Clear, cough).
This aqua kefir which I get it at Trader Joe’s, and it’s incredibly delicious and refreshing. And not that high in sugar—I often only drink half at a time, anyway!
Anxiety Ally has been a pal for several years now, my go-to for anxious days and moments.
This series of TikToks has me laughing and crying on the inside.
I’m working with Natalie of DoGoodBizStudio on strategy and marketing for IMBY, and she is truly a delight to work with.
Saying no, sticking to my boundaries, and asking “what is best for me in this moment?” (without, obviously, sacrificing someone else’s wellbeing!)
Asking for help, and being willing to receive it.
Voice note conversations with friends.
Opting out of memberships, content, and newsletters, that I have been following for a while that no longer align with my current needs, finances, etc.
Jury Duty (tv show)—thanks Lindsay for the recco! I watched it twice.
Whatcha been enjoying lately?
If books could kill is so good. One of the hosts, Michael Hobbes, has a podcast with Aubrey Gordon called Maintenance Phase (https://open.spotify.com/show/3rDR8CfpIEMpITG2UC3w5W) where they break down various diet fads and other dumb nutrition science. I highly recommend it!
yes voice note convos!!
